Revelation Song – Hillsong United

Speaker: Louie Giglio

Mark Zuckerburg – TIME Person of The Year (Read Article)

He’s changed our world, our vocabulary, the way that we relate to each other.

He’s 26 years old

God is no respecter of age

It’s okay when you are 20 to change the world. you can really be in a position with God where you can change people’s lives, vocabulary, changing the way people go about their daily business, changing their hopes.

He’s been offered a billion dollars for Facebook and he said no.

He wanted for relationships to be transparent

One of the interests that he lists on his facebook page, eliminating desire, he just wants to focus on what they are doing. “I think it would be easy to get caught up into short term things that don’t matter.” Eliminating DESIRE FOR ALL THINGS THAT DON’T MATTER!

What are you going for? What do you want your life to matter for?

Philippines 1:1  - First word is Paul.

When he wrote this letter he announced that all things could be made new in the very first word of the book of Philippines. Used to be saul, now writing to you as paul. Wasn’t he the guy a few pages back in Acts, things weren’t working out. Acts 7:34.

“Phil. 1:1 1st word of the 1st sentence of the 1st verse, “Paul,” God announced that all things could be made new.”

Like Paul was made new, God can chose anyone to change completely into someone who will shake the world for His Name’s sake.

STONING OF STEVEN

They are coming at him. The people covered their ears and yelled at the top o their voices because they didn’t want to hear anymore from him, serious hatred and energy from the pitt of hell in that moment, they rushed at him and dragged him out into the city and stoned him, witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. Steven prayed.

Saul gave approval to his death. Watched him get crushed with rocks. I sanction this with all authority I have.

Fast forward and the same guy is writing to us in Philippines, to encourage and build up people in the faith, because God changed his identity.

God opened his eyes, a new name, a new passion, a new mission on earth. A 1/1/11 on steroids.

It is not unlike God to set your life into motion and change the world through you.

We were all enemies. We all were there. We all were hopeless, we were all in opposition to God. God choose to use his enemies to extend Grace to us, and restore our lives.

28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me

Colossians 1

God always uses His enemies to do His work. We were enemies and were made new Jesus made peace 4 us. Best news on the planet.

Jesus isn’t going to quit on the work that He starts in us. We might, but He doesn’t. God is for you.

V13. It’s clear to everyone that Paul is in chains for Christ! The chains in the cell allows him to preach the gospel. A Brand new vision for what life in eternity is all about.  The gospel through the whole palace guard.

We are such complainers. We just don’t understand what Paul understood. Circumstances have no power both being free in Christ and fully alive. Whatever circumstances are over us we need to stop competutlating, God doesn’t care about circumstances they do not limit God in the slightest.

YOU PREACH YOUR OWN FUNERAL!

Apparently cancer can’t keep you from being free and fully alive. No other circumstance can. It is not a reason why God will not let you live FREE and FULLY ALIVE!

V.19 “I’ll continue to rejoice…in what has happend..” Paul’s life is delivered and God purpose and plan changed his life.

V.20 “Christ exalted weither by life or death, to Live is Christ and to Die is gain.” Being FREE AND FULLY ALIVE! That’s unstoppable.

Living is all about Jesus. He is the prize, we die and we win. We live and they hear about Him. Sweet deal it’s a win-win.

FREEDOM COMES FROM CHOOSING THE CHAINS. The second we choose to connect our lives to Jesus we are free.

Jonathan Edwards Resolution

I will live for God. > This is a chain. Eliminating desire for things that don’t matter in the end. Marriage. When you say i do it’s saying I don’t to the rest of the girls on the planet.

“God is glorified the most in me when I am the most satisfied in him.” – John Piper

“The glory of God is man fully alive.” – Unkown

Closing Songs:

Christy Nockles – Waiting Here For You/Alleuja??

Matt Redman – We Are Here For You ?? (Live stream died here, not sure why)
